Group work is often organized in the English classroom. Let me show you how to do it. First and foremost, teachers need to design and assign various tasks to students who have been divided into several groups. Every task has its own requirements. Consequently, the next step is let students discuss the respective topics of tasks which is beneficial for them to better grasp the demands. Then, they need to write down the key points during discussion. In addition, each group need to elect a representative or choose other forms to give a report to all class. Eventually, they need to finish the task in time.
As far as I am concerned, I am in favour of using this kind of way for the following reasons: firstly, it can adjust the atmosphere of the whole class that is of great benefit to attract students join the tasks. Secondly, group working can stimulate and encourage students to express their own opinions bravely. Meanwhile, It is a good way to improve their oral English.
